Job description:
We are looking for a diligent, highly responsible and proactive Compliance Manager to oversee content, rights, and platform compliance across our digital music distribution operations. This role is essential in ensuring that all distributed content meets copyright laws and digital service provider (DSP) policies.
As our Compliance Manager, you will be at the intersection of rights, trust & safety teams and operations, playing a vital role in monitoring client activity, enforcing content compliance, preventing copyright infringement, and protecting the integrity of our relationships with partners, rights holders, and DSPs.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Audit
Monitor and investigate suspicious activities flagged by our fraud detection systems or reported by our DSP partners. Evaluate these activities and take both preventative and corrective actions.
Communicate with clients to report issues and violations, and educate them on how to identify problematic content, ensure compliance and monitor for violations.
Assist in the development of additional systems and tools to monitor and audit our clients’ catalogs and activities.
Review monthly revenue reports to identify potential violations such as artificial streaming, content abuse and rights violations.
Track and enforce adherence to DSP-specific rules.
Stay updated on copyright law developments and DSP policy updates, and proactively implement changes.
Support internal teams in interpreting and applying DSP and rights-related policies.
Serve as the point of contact for external partners (DSPs, clients, labels) on compliance-related matters.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Trust & Safety, Customer Success, and Tech teams to support compliant distribution practices.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in compliance, rights management, or legal operations within the music or digital media industry.
Experience with metadata systems and content management platforms.
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
The ability to think through entirely novel cases and situations based on fundamental principles.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with music rights.
Familiarity with DSP policies (YouTube Content ID, Spotify anti-fraud, etc.) and industry compliance standards.
Experience in music distribution, label operations, or with a digital aggregator.
Knowledge of rights management tools (e.g., ACRCloud, BMAT, rights databases).
Legal background or training in intellectual property is a strong plus.
